Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion… – Psalm 65:1
Psalm 65 is a joyous psalm filled with praises for God and of his mighty good deeds. It’s one of those psalms that when you read it, you can just imagine the Israelites singing and dancing to this wonderful song. The first few words capture an awesome truth: God will always be praised. He is good.
You might be in a place right now in your life where you feel tired, or run down, or discouraged or even numb. You might feel unable to joyfully praise God. You might feel unable to rejoice in the Lord. But not only does the bible say that God is faithful and he will complete the work he began in you (Philippians 1:6) but that praise awaits our God. God will carry you through and deliver you and in the end you will praiseHim because God is worthy of praise and He is being praised both now and forever.
You will eventually see that God means all things for your good (Romans 8:28), even if you can’t make sense of it now. The praise awaits Him. Take heart in the middle of your struggle. Know that even though you may be suffering now, your suffering is light and momentary (2 Corinthians 4:17) and that by the grace of the Lord, you will joyfully praise Him once again.
